Description

“The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again. In one Age, called the Third Age by some, an Age yet to come, an Age long past, a wind rose above the broken mountain named Dragonmount. The wind was not the beginning. There are neither beginnings nor endings to the turning of the Wheel of Time. But it was a beginning.” – From the Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan

It seems that some people do not understand this image very well. So let me explain. Firstly, the quote above is written by Robert Jordan, the author of "The Wheel of Time"

The series of books is fairly disturbing, I wanted the image to be "off" so to speak to give a sense if impending doom or at least the potential of doom...The series is not finished yet (and apparently Jordan is unwell) but it is at a point where the potential for world destruction is a grave possibility. The sky was purposfully made dark to suggest the idea of impending destruction. At the same time, there is a small glow of light around the corner of the roof close the center of the image which suggests a kind of hope.....very small but very present. This theme (of hope) is also picked up by a small band of light over the door. While the inside of the shed appears to be dark, there is the potential for hope within.

I think anyone with familiarity with the series will understand the imagery here.
