The Way Of Memory 0653 by WayneBenedet The Way Of Memory 0653 by WayneBenedet
I came across this place while on a trip with a friend.  When we got out to take pictures, both of us got a very strange feeling, that this was not a place to be.  We did not linger long.  We took a few shots and left.  (This is not a common occurrence for me, mostly I feel welcomed in the places I visit, in this case there was a clear feeling of hostility. ) Neither of us have forgotten the feelings we encountered on this site.

Great shot, Wayne   I've been in those kinds of places too and the best defense is usually a good offense and being fleet of foot and getting the aitch outta there! :sprint:  Intuition counts a lot in life, I believe and I believe you were right to scram!

I met my friend last night John and I told her about this picture and posting it.  Right away she said that she remembered how bad the place had felt.  It was interesting to me that after all this time, both of us can still vividly recall how it felt. I am glad we left.  I have never been back.

Definitely always heed that warning. The house I visited with my friend felt the same strange, unwelcoming way and we went in anyway. She ended up getting "jumped", or at least it was attempted by something there, and it took her several days to shake off the sick feeling and get back to herself. It was very frightening for both of us.

I was asked to remove the TV antenna from a similar house years ago. The family moved out in the middle of the night, carrying what they could....they dropped half their clothes coming down the steps. The owner, my partner, and I were talking about the process and it being a two-man job. About that time it sounded like a bowling ball rolling down the hall upstairs, I ran up and found an empty hallway - except for the sounds. Nobody wanted to go up with me to climb out a bedroom window to a balcony like affair where the antenna was so the antenna stayed where it was.

Later I heard they built the house on an Indian burial ground.............not much need to guess there!
