She's as Cold as Ice by WayneBenedet She's as Cold as Ice by WayneBenedet
1937 Ford

I came across this one today in a tree line. I met the owner and got permission to go on the land. Then I discovered that there could be 50 vehicles down there.

I need to get back when the day is a bit later and the light more from the west. But for now, this was the best I could obtain.

Is this land owner the type who likes money? WHERE DOES HE LIVE?!?!?!?!?

money is not an issue for this guy, I have permission to go on the land to take pictures when ever I want. The truck is his next restoration project.

The green and rust on the truck really add to that winter feel. Wonderful shot.

I think you just have to get into the remote areas.

Smorgasbord!

There's something oddly attractive about a group of abandoned vehicles, especially outside of a junkyard.

My Dad had a 1936 and is still sitting on the farm. My late husband thought he wanted to rebuild it but never happened.
Great shot.

I think rebuilding one of these would be a real adventure, but I have neither the ability, time or resources, so I have to contend myself with seeing what others do.

Looks cool, man. Nice looking truck. Everything I find tends to be completely destroyed. But it looks like you explore more rural areas, so that is probably the reason.

Well I live in a small town, and I frequently travel to other places for exhibits of my work, so i get a chance to see a lot of country. I think it is more luck of the draw than anything else.

I think so too.

It is owned by a guy who runs a body shop, so maybe there is hope. Right now his plan is to fix up a woody.

Ryan I am afraid to bring you here, you would either break down crying for joy, wet yourself or set up camp and never leave. (I could set you up with the owners, they are car people, run a repair shop out of the farm house... they restore cars :D. They have a woody that I will photograph in the spring or summer. if you want me to try to open a contact, let me know and I will speak with them).
