thanks,

it is in an old field, there are about 30 cars and trucks there, but it is all over grown with trees, so the only time the light is good is in the fall or spring. It would be very hard to get to in the winter.

I found one in Alabama but buy the time I got around to going back in the fall the guy died and his family got rid of alot of them. I did manage to get some good shots before someone yelled something about snakes and poisin ivy.

lol.... we don't have a lot of poison ivy out here, and the only snakes are garter snakes, so not much of a problem.

I don't know the reasons, but I know of a number of places where people have collected old cars. Sometimes though getting permission to go in and take pictures is more the challenge.

I hope the shots you got turned out to your liking.

Always makes me sad to see this kind of thing, so many neat old cars left to rot.

It does not create that emotion for me. I appreciate that they are still there and have not been hauled away for scrap

I guess I kind of see the missed or lost potential in it just sitting out forgotten in the elements. At least your work has given it another moment in the spotlight. :)

yes, I kind of figured you meant something like that, but there are so many of them that it would be impossible to same them all, so you are right, it gets a bit of the spot light, as it deserves.
