Well!  Maybe not your usual subject but it's definitely taken with your usual care and professionalism.  A great portrait--excellent sharpness, clarity, detail and you got some nice catch lights in the hawks eye.  Well done, Wayne! :clap:

I find this bird very hard to identify and have seen it in many phases.  So I don't know if it is where you live or not, but it is quite common.  I live close to a flight path.  They will begin counting raptors in about a month.  They do this yearly to get an estimate of how many birds there are and if the numbers are growing or shrinking.
