Made In Canada by WayneBenedet Made In Canada by WayneBenedet
I have taken pictures of many old cars... (not that any one has ever noticed of course :D). But in all the pictures I have ever taken, I have NEVER wanted one of those cars.

When I first saw this 27 Ford, I just about fell down and died ... Really, I speak the truth. I knew right then that I wanted her for my yard.

Of course the problem is sneaking her onto the yard with out my love noticing. I asked my mother-in-law if she knew of a way that I could do this... she just laughed. Then I asked my brother-in-law. Now there is a brother. OK...his scheme is hair-brained, but at least he has a scheme....

I think it would look great as a lawn ornament.

Not to worry, the owner is selling these guys off. There are over 100 cars on this site.

personally I have some confidence, knowing the owner, and the guys who are buying them. A number of vehicles have already been moved out leaving large holes.

I'd say it's the perfect yard art for a Candian who makes his living shooting pictures of old cars. Try this: Appeal to her logical side--Say that it is absolutely essential to your future in photography that you have this available at all time as both inspiration and a business attention getter (like a artfull billboard--if there is such ;)) so people know where the Old Car Photographer lives and as such they can find you when they have old cars to photograph

It's worth a shot! :od: Anyway, it's a cool old '27 for sure! Classic lines and a great shot

there are places like that in Canada too, but out here on the prairie, it is quite dry and there is no salt air, so metals last a long time.

Here's what I would do. Buy her a day pass to a local spa, one of those places where she can get a massage and lie in hot tub for a few hours, and sneak it in while she's out. When she comes home she'll be so relaxed she won't care. I got this great 100-400mm L-series that way.

Looks like the old one out near the Old Pinawa Dam. Excellant work on this, I really like the way the light reflects of the weathered metal.

Well, I have seen deconstructed examples of similar autos as lawn art. In fact, I posted one on DA a while back. See: [link]

Maybe showing her an example of such a tasteful deployment might convince her that it's not such a bad idea! Anyway, good luck!!!

Sometimes it's less aggravating to not call someone over each time you want to show them something on your computer. (Ask my wife!)

all the cars in the field are sunk, it was probably a pasture because it would be too wet to farm actively.

We have these flowers all over our yard. They are native to this area, so we got some and for 12 years they have done well.

You are officially a redneck!
I guess a model T wouldn't make a bad yard ornament; I've seen a guy near Kansas City, MO who has a decomissioned private jet sitting next to his driveway overlooking Interstate 50.
