This is perhaps one of the few lake vessels that my brother does not have the plans for. If you are interested in Lake vessels there is a comprehensive list of vessels here [link]. You can also see some of the scale models he has built here [link]
thanks Jon. It was a challenge to take and process. I have actually posted this image before, but I learned a few tings since then and I decided to try it again.
The lamps seem to be putting out different heats and balances of colour, but that adds an element of variety. Sometimes the way we react to colour is very subtle.
you are right, the one closest to the boat has a purple hue and the others are green. I wonder now if that it a factor of the bulb (source) or the glass enclosure. Certainly it has nothing to do with the processing, except that perhaps it brought out these subtle tones, the but colours themselves have not been manipulated.
Sorry Hoyt... I think only broke 2...lol... it is no longer functional (but then maybe we are thinking of different "rules")
And you see there was a challenge here. I was visiting my parents. During the day I was doing some legal and other stuff for them, in the evenings I went out and took pictures. My mom started to question me.... eg: where are you going, what are you doing. You know how moms are... no matter how old you get... you are still their baby.
Any way, I told her I was out taking pictures. At which point the pronounced: "You can't take pictures and night". lol... took some of my best night shots on that trip because it was the only time I could get my camera out given the other work I had to do. I still have not shown her any of them.
BTW... did you hear about the fellow in southern Ontario who has a portion of a passenger car in his basement? Now there is a rail fan. (It was on CBC a couple of nights ago).
it is kind of a museum at this point. It is all original, it is just attached to the shore by a flexible structure. Kind of like a big arm. It is actually visible in the picture.
