Taken on an excursion with a class in Holland Manitoba, the possibilities of this scene and location continue to attract me. Processed with new methods, the details inside the shed continue to be visible, and the broad detail range in the entire scene is astounding, even without increasing contrast levels. In my mind, this is some thing that Ansel Adams might have shot.

This is also my final posting of the year, so I want to wish all of you a very happy new year. Be safe, and enjoy your self.

May you have a wonderful 2013.

Manitoba has some amazing scenery. I've gone up through there a few times on long canoe trips that took me to the Hudson Bay, and the last night of one of our trips the group I was with stayed at a similar old dilapidated cabin on a river delta in the tundra. We had to climb onto this rickety old thing in the middle of the night to make sure polar bears wouldn't creep up on us. This and some of your other work reminds me of those times.

yes it is a very beautiful province, but so are the others.

We lived in Thompson for a few years, we visited Churchill and I flew to a number of the northern communities. Some amazing memories were created.

this is beyond beautiful. The storm in the back really ties into the photo, it makes it complete. Be it it's coming or going this photo just has a feeling of movement to it and focal points are right on! Amazing work!
