Description

This is a workbook has taken the last three years to write. It is based upon my training "Back in the Day" and, on about 35 years of experience with cameras, film and processing. It is currently used for a course that I teach at Red River Community College, Winkler Campus as a student workbook. It is not intended to be a manual, but rather a course guide.

If you wish to have a copy, please write me at thaumadzo@hotmail.com, and make a donation through Paypal to wbenedet@mts.net. You will receive a PDF version via large document delivery. Hard copies in colour are available for $20.00 plus shipping. The workbook has transparent covers and has a comb binding. To date, over 800 copies have been distributed world wide.

I am very grateful for all of the help that people here at dA gave me to help complete this project. Over the last few years many of you have given me permission to use pieces of your work and they have been included in this book as teaching aids or examples of specific techniques. Credit has been supplied for each piece of work used, and permission was gained at the time of inclusion. If however, you do not recall giving permission to use your work or if you do not wish it to be used any longer, please send me a note.

The document is in PDF format and is contained in a ZIP file. The full workbook is 64 pages long and contains fourteen experiments to help people learn about depth of field, how shutters work, and how lens funtion. The abbreviated version available here will give people an idea of the material covered.

Please comment if you wish.

One of my photographer friend showed me this writing and she asked me to write some lines about this magnificent work.

I've read the whole workbook and I'm sad that I didn't explore it earlier because it can give useful informations to beginner and professional photographers too. It's very detailed and I didn't find any technical expression without explanation and I didn't have to look them up somewhere else.

The illustrations and the graphics are wonderful and it looks like better than other similar course book. So if someone read this book then he/she will be take much better photos than ever. I can just suggest it for everyone.
